Tool & Loop keeps as little about you as it can, and never sells or shares it.

What we keep

• Your email, if you make an account, join the waitlist, ask for a module or vote. It is used to sign you in, to tell you when membership opens, and to tell you once when a module you asked for ships. It is never shown on the request board.
• Passkeys: only the public half of the key your device makes. We never see your fingerprint or face.
• Your requests and votes: the request text is public on the board; who asked and who voted is not.
• Quiz scores inside modules stay in your browser.

Where it lives

On our own server in the EU (Germany). Email is sent through Amazon SES in the EU. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Visits are counted with our own self-hosted analytics (Umami), which sets no cookies and keeps no personal data.

Your rights

You can delete your account from the account page at any time, which removes your email, passkeys and votes. To be taken off the waitlist, or for anything else about your data, email hello@olijammedia.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
